HEY, I'M CHRISTY!
I've always been creative, artistic, and thrived with a box of crayons or paints…or any art supply I could get my hands on. As a young child I would gather and hoard anything that could be used for a craft. I even made a robot from an old mailbox left in a trash pile behind our house. Seriously who would throw away a mailbox that made a perfectly good robot?? As I grew, I started selling my art at shows and exclusively sold originals for a long time. Now, I sell originals, prints, and a monthly subscription (the CBC Clubhouse - and trust me, it is the coolest thing I've done).
A lot of what I create for you comes out of a vision I had for my own home or with my own kids. When I have a design idea, I love the challenge of bringing it to paper and turning seemingly ordinary things into art. It’s my favorite thing to do!
I fully believe that what we see in our homes everyday matters. Art can bring so much life, inspiration, encouragement, and tradition to our lives. But I'm well aware that having exclusively original art isn't in the budget for a lot of people. So I've worked extra hard to make my art affordable for literally every home and budget, because I want you to be able to decorate a home that you love without having to spend thousands of dollars to do so.
CBC has honestly been the best subscription service I've ever had. Which is saying a lot because I've had some really solid relationships with my diaper, razor, essential oil, and book subscriptions. But this one is so special. It's been such an encouragement to my soul and such an amazing tool as a busy mama with little babies running around. I don't have time in this stage of my life to design cute placemats or find meaningful decor for my home to make it feel like a cozy, thoughtful space. We've enjoyed some cool unit studies in the past but nothing as beautiful and fun as Christy's are. Each piece feels so intentionally created and most of all I love that so many of these pieces point my children to our homes deep love of Christ and a desire to share that love with all who enter our doors. I've really been enjoying the decorative prints and unit studies. I use the studies to incorporate into my homeschooling my 16, 4, and 2 year old girls, and they all love the little stories and beautiful art!
