A Christmas Carol Unit Study

This Christmas Carol unit study is something different for you!🎄🎶

We wanted to create something for you to enjoy through advent with your family, and came up with the idea of digging into some of the most popular hymns of Christmas, and maybe a few that you aren’t as familiar with.

There are 28 Christmas Carols/Hymns to learn about and enjoy each day during Advent (or however you’d like to do it!).  There’s a little information and lyrics for each song, and included at the end is the hymn page or song sheet that can be used as art or even just learning to follow along with a song with the music included.

Also, there is a little bit of blank space on each page.  For older children, this can be a great “dig deeper” activity and have them research some of the songs even further and note what they find out about the song or even the writer!

There’s also a Christmas Carol Journal to encourage kids to write or draw in as they listen to the hymns each day. They can write what the hymn evokes in them, or draw what they feel or think about while listening! It’s a great exercise in listening and taking in what they are hearing!
